    We won chili fest!

    I don't usually like to boast on any of my professional accomplishments, but this one felt good. I've been the chef at Cisco Brewpub (formerly Red Hook) in Portsmouth since May, and today we won the Powder Keg Chili Fest. We'll be putting the chili on the menu soon, so if anyone is ever down our way look us up on the Pease Tradeport. Some great beer there too!

    Yeah, it's made with smoked tomatoes and short ribs and red kidney beans. We're doing the one in Portsmouth today.

    Chili is one tough one to be the "best of." Everyone has a different opinion. It's either too spicy or too bland. Congratulations on getting it right.
