Does anyone know if the new Merc's allow for the switching back and forth between hotfoot and hand throttle? I will be purchasing in the next 2 weeks the new engine 225 HP with DTS and the new hotfoot, but was hoping to be able to switch between the two. Thanks in advance.

Yes. The DTS Hot Foot comes with a hand throttle switch that needs to be installed in the control box.
The switch will allow you to MANUALLY select whether throttle is on the control handle, or the hotfoot. Switch is also available separately for use in 2007 and later DTS products.

Would this be an option for the 250R ?
No. The 250R is a mechanical control only engine. It would be an option for a 300R with DTS.Originally Posted by spider1
