    Biting any better at Patoka??

Heading to Patoka for the weekend to do a little fun fishing. Is the bite any better than it has been? Any grass being found out there? Any top water bite? Thanks in Advance!

When we were there this time of year a few years back the deal was find the grass back in coves and run spinnerbaits over, around and through the grass. You want the weed that has a "channel" around the edges between it and the bank. It produced enough for us to win the tournament. Didn't do much on points, I think we caught one or two dinks on cranks, nothing on jigs.

You want grass and topwater, head to Monroe cause you won't find either at Patoka. FYI the annual "We Care" tournament is this Saturday the 6th on Patoka.

That’s a good sign at least. Gives me hope that it can come back. Lake needs it. The fish need it.

Thank you for the info everybody. Fishing sucked and it was hot! Fished South Lick for 3- hours Friday afternoon, 3- shorts. Put in at Wahl's Saturday and fished all the way up under King's and on back. 2- keepers & 3- shorts & it was hot!
