zx 190 175hp owners please step in

What kind of numbers are you getting? What prop are you running and how high is your jackplate if manual?

    My Numbers:
    2008 zx190
    175 hpdi
    12" jackplate:
    60 mph
    5400 rpm
    25M prop
    6 dots on jackplate

I think I should be getting a little more.

Are those summer/hot humid conditions? Prop in good shape? I had a 2013 ZX190 set up exactly the same, with two people 62mph in summer, 64-65 in winter.

I owned a 2012 ZX190 for 6 years. Top speed ranged from 67 down to 60. Many variables affected the speed. All other things being equal the biggest speed killers were the Talon and the larger fish finders. A lot of extra weight and wind resistance. I also found my boat was sensitive to weight distribution with more weight in the front decreased the speed.
Props made a sigficant difference. Skeeters do not like 3 bladed Fury's - not enough bow lift and adding too much cup kills it. A Turbo TXP 24 for the winter and 23 Tempest Plus for the summer were my best props. The Turbo TXP got it to 67.
I played with the jack plate some but this is a give and take situation. Raising it gets you more speed but it makes the steering heavy/stiff at high speed and trim. Water pressure drops off badly in turns.
I chose to keep mine close to factory to keep the better handling which on the ZX190 is awesome.
