    Tracker v-18 and rain

Hey I I have a 2005 tracker v-18. But every time it rains at a decent rate the rod boxes and the other boxes get water into them. What are some solutions for this I do have the boat covered at all times. Are there any videos on how to make adjustments to your route boxes to prevent this.

I'd be interested too. My TV-18 is a year 2000 and I'm not sure ANY of the compartments are water resistant. Bought it new and it's been a great rig for our use.

My TV 18 is 2005. The poly liners behind the driver and passenger
seats along w/the one in the front deck are dry. All other boxes will
get wet in a heavy dew. LDS

I put Lift Supports on my Rod Lockers and Center Hatch, the rest of 'em I'll wait till I have more time after retirement.

I have 3 wet boxes in the front deck. The only thing that I know to do is
to find plastic storage boxes that will fit the holes. You are going to give
up space, but at least what you put in there will be dry.
My 100% fix for this is to not to fish on rainy days. LDS

My TV18 is the same. My two rod lockers and two storage compartments get wet even when sitting in the garage due to high humidity. My underseat storage also has this problem. Of course when it rains everything gets wet too. It is a pita to remove my stuff out of my front to storage compartments when I have to dry them out with to small fans to circulate the air drying them out. Removing the rods from the rod lockers isn't an issue as the small fans are light enought to sit on the rod butts while drying out the compartments and I do the same for my underseat storage. My poly boxes in the rear storage area never get wet unless I have to get into one of them during a rain which has happened once or twice. My biggest gripe though about the high humidity in those storage boxes was my two inflatable lifejackets inflated just due to the moisture inside my storage compartments which cost me $60 to rearm both of them. So lesson learned I always take and hang them up in my storage room where I keep all my fishing stuff.
