    Any TX-21 Owners?

    Looking at a 2001 - TX21. I’d love to hear some feedback from people who’ve had/have one.

    *what is actual length?
    *expected speed with 225 Opti
*hows the ride in heavy chop and is it dry?
*pros/cons (I’ve read lots of old posts and about all I could find was lids might rattle and leak and 1 person said wet ride)

Yes, difference is carpet vs nonskid and a few other small details. Same basic boat

Yep, had a 99 Triton Tx21(this was the original 20'6" hull) for 15yrs. Bought new with a 200efi (yes, undersized) would run about 67mph loaded on a 5.5" CMC hydraulic jackplate. In 2007, upgraded to the 250 ProXS. Loaded with 27" Trophy prop, 78mph gps, had to learn how to drive it. Bumpy in the rough stuff, but easy to keep the nose up. The 2001's were increased to a full 21'. It was great boat for the 15yrs I owned it. Bought a 2014 Ranger Z21 Intracoastal and I love the fish ability of it, but miss the speed. I would have bought another TX if Triton continued to make them. Live 20mins from Galveston bay so need a salt capable boat. Even if I never fished salt would not choose a carpeted deck or the non-skid deck. Looks better over time. Star-Brite Non-skid deck cleaner will keep it looking great.

I have a 2001. BTW - it made absolutely no sense for these Triton boats to be outfitted with a freshwater outboard and trolling motor. Yes, I know saltwater models are more expensive. If this made any sense, no boats would be outfitted with saltwater motors. I put a saltwater trolling motor on mine right after I got it.

I know this is an old post.
