My buddy Gary is recouperating from his third back surgery and my buddy Bill was out of town so I wound up going fishing by myself on Thursday of last week. When I left the house at 5:30 it was 44 degrees. When I got to the Greenfield access off CC Hwy it was totally socked in with fog. It was a challenge launching the boat by myself. At age 30 it was a breeze and 62, not so much. The fog was too dense to make a run so I fished close to the ramp. I caught a limit of whites while the fog was dense and another limit after the sun burned through the fog. I also caught 25 bass, 1-walleye, 1-crappie, and an 8 pound carp. All on my little light weight spinning tackle and 4lb test line. (The 8# carp was a challenge.) All in all, it was a great day. Even got home for supper.....
