Talk to Frank. I know he has fished it a lot and I remember him saying he has done very well there. It's a tough river to fish, but there's some big fish in there. This time of the year, there's some sort of weird weed stuff that collects along the banks everywhere, I forget what it is exactly or what it's called. But the bass like to get under it, so if you're into pitching big/heavy jigs into thick mats, it's a good place and time to do it. Otherwise, there's a handful of areas that are off the main river channel that offer some good fishing. Place is loaded with weeds, grass, and pads, with plenty of downed trees to go around.
I still can't figure the place out myself, but then again, I don't spend much time on it either. In the few tournaments I've fished on it, there was always a couple of boats that pull in nice bags. There used to be an annual tournament in the fall there, NetWorks (or whatever the org was called) Big Bass tournament that usually featured a 6+, a couple of 5's, and a bunch of 4's for the day.
