    Tungsten weights with concave?

Anyone know of any tungsten weights that have enough concave to actually cover the line tie and protect the head of your plastic bait.??
Looking for some that when used with heavier line they don't hit my knot before they contact the hook eye and then you have a gap between weight and bait.

Use a snell knot and the weight will not contact the knot.

Put a bobber stop for large weights above your knot

Still looking for tungsten weights with a bigger deeper concave --- like most lead weights have that will actually protect the worm head especially when fishing in heavy cover.

I pull the head of the bait up over the hook eye and knot to protect it. That makes the weight sit flush on the bait also. I've never felt the need to "protect the worm head", the weight doesn't seem to hurt it at all.

Not concerned with the weight hurting the bait head....
When the weight has a deep concave in the base like lead weights do..
IMO it comes over snags and through heavy cover better. A lot fewer hang ups and torn baits. Also feel I have a better hook up ratio. because you seldom have a fish pull the head of the worm down onto the shank resulting in a cleaner hook set. Also get more life out of most baits.

I use a snell knot with a bead in between the hook and weight.

Keep hoping. 2 factories on the planet that make tungsten weights, both in China, and that likely won't change anytime soon. Tungsten's got the second highest melting point of any element behind only carbon - what diamonds are made out of. This means you can't just melt it down and make stuff with it like you can with lead. The stuff we have now is "only" 97% tungsten because it's made by suspending tungsten powder in a metal that can be worked with, usually nickel. Brand names are just putting the same weights in a different package. Anyone who says theirs is better or 100% tungsten or different in any way aside from maybe how it's painted/colored is lying.

    No doubt they can.
Some brands are a lot worse than others. I take the time to check everyone of them before they go in my weight box.
