Earlier today i saw a facebook a 2003 with a 2.5 175 optimax that appears to be on an offshore mid. How is this possible considering the midsection looks factory, does it just bolt up? Just posting because im curious.

I don't know all the details but when I looked into having my 300xs modified it I needed a 280 clamp assy and a Taylor mid section. The drive shaft and shift shaft need to be shortened and the exhaust needed to be shortened or changed out. This is what I remember.
The 175 is a 2.5 and will bolt right up to any of the other 2.5 mids.
thats what i figured i just didn't know if there were slight differences in the block. Thank y'all for the info.
