Are all the v8’s on back order?

The 225 is kind of an oddball and I’m wondering if it has the same delay that the 250’s have?

I think actually the answer is no. It’s worse.

Ordered a new boat with the pro xs f/s . In July was told may have to wait till Feb, because of motor availability.

Hearing I'm not the only one waiting.

You are correct. I ordered a pair of 300 4 strokes DTS on June 1st. When I ask about a delivery date, all I get is a shoulder shrug. I'm not impressed!

The racing engines generally are faster to get but they are 3-4 months from what I saw on another thread. Mine was ordered in June and arrived in August

I have my 250 ProXS V8. Only 4 months from when ordering opened in April.
Experience based information: If any Mercury rep gives the retailer a date of delivery for your engine he is lying. They don't have a date and can't get one. You order it and wait. When it shows up then that's the date.

LOL!!! Just before reading this post, I get a voicemail from Theresa at Jacos saying the mercury rep said my motor will be available on October 9th, but if not oct 9th it’ll be the following week. I’d rather them be upfront with me and tell me they aren’t sure, so I’m not waiting on it every week.

She is only relaying what she is being told. As noted above.

All of the engines have been shipping- there is simply quite a backlog of orders.

As much as guys were against the talk of 4 strokes last year, it sure is mind blowing at the number of sales that Merc is making!

What are the odds of anyone having one in stock? I know it's low, probably zero, but thought I'd ask. Thought maybe some people might have ordered one then backed out. Has anyone on here found one in stock?

I talked with Theresa at Jaco's yesterday. She said she had a lead on a 300r that someone had backed out on....might be worth a call.
