Running a pro XS 250, 5800 rpm, 3 1/4 pp, 15psi water, 10" jackplate, 25tempest plus with some cup, only 61-62 mph, seems like no lift, want to try a four blade Fury, what pitch to start with, not overly concerned with speed but want more bow lift, boats feels like it is plowing thru the water

I'd look at where your tackle is, and I have more lift with my z8 and tempest 25 when it's lower so maybe drop back down a .25"?
put your gear in the back bins and give it a rip it's really easy to try

Your setup sounds about ideal from what others are running. I hate to be the one to say it, but have you checked your hull for a hook? Are you the original owner?
Hmmm something if deff off. I am running about the same setup (2013 Z-9) with the exception that I have an Atlas hydro plate. When I get around 5800 rpm I am seeing 67 to 69 mph. I am carrying a fair amount of tackle and that's with 1/2 tank of fuel. My prop is the 25P Tempest Plus that the original owner of the boat had worked by DAH so I am not sure exactly what they did to it....but it has plenty of bow lift. I would like to try a Fury 4 at some point.
Need to look at why your not getting lift.

Something is wrong with the prop. There should be no way you are turning it to 5800 and only running 61. My so dont even get up on pad until 61-62. Are you trimmed all the way up while running WOT?
