Updated all units yesterday. Turned Auto Upload Off in ipilot settings prior and had no issues.
Had the boat out on the water all night and didn't have any problems but didn't use the 360, although the views were there.

I don't disconnect anything but rather only power up one unit at a time when updating, and leave the trolling motor off entirely.

Found out the Helix 10 GPS SD card for screenshots was corrupt, couldn't save my waypoints & tracks, kept saying export failed. That might also explain why that unit has been acting up. It seemed to struggle to read the map card in the other slot every time I powered up.

Was your sd card unlocked when trying to save wpts/tracks? Only ask cause mine did the same thing with a locked SD card.

Struggling to insert the card will lock it sometimes.

No it wasn't locked, that was the first thing I checked. Something on the card was corrupt because the PC also couldn't read the MATRIX folder.
I'm not sure if it was a faulty adapter or card reader yet as it failed like I mentioned but I did a full scrub of the card with no errors detected, tried it again, it failed, swiched it to another adapter, it then worked, switched it back to the original adapter and it worked again, so I don't know for certain.
I'll keep an eye on the card and use a different adapter in the meantime.
Maybe moisture oxidized the contacts in the original adapter.

Went out today and everything worked out good 3 units plus 360. Only issue I had was my bow graph with the di transducer designed for the trolling motor would lock depth at 4.6’ when auto was selected switched to 2d element and worked great.

Also I feel angler mode is useless

Also not update related but still can’t get my in Hull transducer to work. I got it to finally read depth and give a 2d reading but I had to run sensitivity on 18 to get a reading and it was a very weak reading. That only lasted a few minutes then it lost 2d and slowly climbed into 1k’. Humminbird sent me a new transducer under warranty but have not installed. Not looking forward to that.

All H9/H10/H12 G2N models have version 1.84 so includes nonMega units. Version 1.83 was only for Gen1 models for those I checked and maybe Helix5.

No, only the Helix 9, 10, and 12 G2N unit’s have MEGA Imaging.

Did you do the Restore Defaults AFTER the software was installed?

After doing restore defaults went out again yesterday. Helix 10 Mega SI Gen 2 worked ok initially, but within an hour or so my shallow water 2D was bouncing all over from 4 ft to 1100 ft to 540, etc. I did try calling customer service on Friday to see what they had to say but got a recording saying they were closed and would reopen on Monday. Not sure what to do next. Very disappointed!

Try selecting 2d element if you have not. Mine works better with it selected now. I should add other than the console I don’t use low frequency for 2d

I think, if I'm not mistaken, 2d element is the default. I know this time I left everything factory default. Thanks.

MEGA Imaging was not a feature on the Gen 1 units. It was introduced in some Gen 2 units.

Wayne - I did the reset prior to install but of course have the 2D running crazy. So I need to do another reset after the update?? Also, my DI brightness is just not right. It is dark and I have adjusted the contract and tried different color palettes. Any idea of that issue. The SI is just fine. The unit is a G2N 12 and it is shares waypoints to the bow with my G1 10 SI/DI unit.

Yes, but it may not resolve that issue.

The software did the Restore Defaults as part of its installation process, so when you did it, it was done twice before the software loaded.
