2004 ox66 225

Just bought a boat and it has a 2004 Yamaha 225 ox66 on it. The motor run's great besides cleaning the o2 sensor and regular maintenance on these is there anything special I need to do to this motor. Owned nothing but mercury's, I've heard good and bad things about this motor trying to get some information on the motor but cant find anything. Any suggestions I would really appericte it it thank you and good fishing

I have a 2000 225 ox66.

Researched the snot out of it before I bought.

Supposedly one of yamahas best motors. Loads of power, can be modded for more power, very reliable. Some people claim to have over 5k hours on them.

Just got to do a serious maintenance every year, new filters, plugs, etc.

pull your injectors and send them to Brucato or Hydro Tec for a cleaning and calibrate. Do a lift pump delete also if you don't want to service them every year. CJ
