    Post Lowest profile reels?

What brands do you guys with smaller hands find to be the easiest to palm? I have several older shimano chronarchs and new lews, the lews are smaller. Not looking for any kind of bashing, just small framed reels to look at.

The smallest reels I own are the Aldebaran 51 and the Curado 71. My Team Lew's Hyper Mag and Custom Speed Spool is close but they hold more line.

I don't know if they are the smallest...or if it was a combination of reel seat and reel, but I immediately noticed how well the Concept A fit my hand. Normally I don't notice something like that. On second thought that doesn't necessarily mean it is a small reel as I have average hands. But to the best of my memory it is a short reel from foot to the top.

You can toss in the Revo MGXtreme in there as well. Very small profile.

13 Fishing Concept A! I have one on their Fate Chrome rod and it’s noticeably smaller than any other combo I have. Light as a feather as well!

abu mgx/alx. the alx can get a little wild on you at times. i think the new alf is essentially the same reel with a dual braking system.

At 6.8 oz. it isn't considered terribly light today. We have reels not only under 6 oz., but under 5 oz. Having said that I have no problem fishing an OG Zillion all day. And I am no longer a young pup. And as I stated, this is the only reel that impressed me on how it felt the first time I mounted it on a rod. I also fish Curado 51E, Pixy, Alphas and Steez. I really liked how the Concept A felt.

Thanks guys, I’ll check of the new Shimanos and the 13 fishing model. The steez is more than I’m willing to spend, might be worth it; but I’m too tight to spend that much. I’ve always good luck with Daiwas too, I’m not sure y’all were much help.

These are an underdog for size that it seems people overlook. It palms much smaller than I expected anyway. Other than that 71’s, aldebarans, etc. Honestly the k palms really well for a 200 size reel.

Daiwa Tatula 100 is a good one to look at.

If the Tatula 100 has the same frame as the Steez A then that's a really small reel too.

I went through this last year (got a thread somewhere on here about it). The Tatula 100 is new so look at that, and the Curado 70, Lews Pro G, Steez A or Alderbaran 50.

I own most of the reels mentioned above. If I had to it all over again, I would go with just the Curado 70. It's not as sexy as some of the others and the Aldebarans are ligther, but nothing outfishes it for the money.
