    Rev A ground wire in batt compartment

    2016 Triton 20 TRX 2016 Merc 250

    just found this wire near batter idk what it goes to it’s not connected should it be? Idk

    The ring terminal is smaller than the battery terminal so that’s prob why it’s not connected???

    No one is going to be able to help you with out more information.

    Where does the wire go??

    Especially being an 8awg wire, I will not take a guess at it.

    Try the triton thread. Maybe they can match the tag number.

    What color is it? All the wires in the OEM harness are color coded, hopefully, you can find a wiring schematic in your owners manual or on the Triton web site.
    This link shows all the standard color codes used in boat wiring:

    This is a partial wiring schematic for an X series Triton. Don’t know if it is the same as yours, but the wire colors will be consistent.

    It’s just a black wire with a ring on it and the sticker flap with the writing on it.

    I thought that also. But dont think a horn would have a 8ga. wire. Power Trim maybe.?
