The video helps tie it all in.
There are a lot of good folks who are trying to "grow" the sport but unfortunately following the same old same old does not seem to work.
It would be great to see more dream stories such as Christy and Daniels Jr.
The video really highlights how little the bass boat industry really is.

What gets me is how the boat industry can even begin to compare themselves cost wise/being inline with the automotive industry. Show me how a boat can cost more than the truck can. No comparison when it comes to the components, technology or engineering. Sure that statement will ruffle some feathers. But as said in the past. As long as the consumer excepts the price, that selling price will be the norm. And I know that this comment was somewhat off topic in a way but ppl due look at cost when deciding if they want to be part of a hobby or sport of some sort

There is a vast difference between the number of Basscat boats produced in a year vs. the number of Ford F-150s. The more you make of anything, the less the unit cost becomes. A bass boat is typically not mass produced as any motor vehicle is.

At one time it was over 130,000 F Series Ford pickup trucks a month. Nail that one down and we can get real competitive and really change the way they are manufactured. Ken Duke’s numbers were the ones I shared with him a while back. He is an extremely sharp man and a true student, as well as steward, of the professional bass fishing sport.
