    got my first Gambler

after years of eyeballing/admiring them i finally made a move :)

1999 2000DC, bought the hull and trailer from a guy in fla. stuck a 225proxs on back and moved all my goodies over from my Skeeter. still got a few minor details to work out. got it out on the water yesterday for the first time. runs and drives good, nimble. have yet to make a cast from it though, that will come.

do have question about trim tabs, this one doesnt have them and the hole shot is more vertical than i would like. how hard they to add? suggested sources?

Just checked with our engineer - the ones on our website store will not work on that hull. We began installing trim tabs on 2000 Model Year.

Congratulations on your purchase. Feel free to email any tech questions to admin@amscare.com

They can be added however once u get it propped right you will not need them on your particular Hull...

Put a 250 on it and you won't need tabs. Congratulations!

Nice! Let’s hear some numbers! How did the ultrex pedal fit for you? Been wondering how one will fit or not fit on my 2000 Outlaw.

LOL!!!! the ulrex pedal didnt, had to cut a section of the port side vertical wall of the recess and then it went in just fine. no one could have anticipated that the foot pedal on these trolling motors would get so big.

thanks everyone! i dont have enough seat time in it to give real numbers yet. its definitely a different ride than my 21' Skeeter.

ive got a 2017 225 ProXS on a 12" Atlas spinning a 26 Tempest Plus right now, it feels like its gonna be fast but we'll see

well, got to put in some time yesterday evening and i think i need more prop. currently spinning a 26P Tempest Plus for as many rpms as i want but the sweet spot seemed to be about 5900 to 6k rpm for 77+mph. ideally i dont want to spin that many rpms and want more speed. any of you guys running the same hull? what prop are you using?

did you read my post about the 26p fury 3 ??? it will be a great fishing prop...
fastest prop you will be able to turn is a 27 trophy but its a bit tedious to dial in for holeshot
