My son has a college tourney down there in a couple weeks and he is wanting to find out what kind of a lake this is
and if there are any lake hazards to look out for? He is going down Sunday to prefish and doesn't want to tear
up the boat. Thanks in advance!
There is quite a bit of standing timber in the lake. I would recommend a good map and exercise caution. If you know your way around google earth you can time lapse some of the drawdown and see most of the timber.

Main lake is pretty well wide open, just keep it in the middle of the lake. main lake hazards are marked. Most of the creeks have some timber. Easy to navigate.

By Sunday nolin will be 3 to 4 over summer pool. So lots of the creeks you won't be able to see the timber but it's there. The bad thing is what your son sees and learns will change by next weekend if they start to pull the lake down. But Nolin is a blast when flooded. You will have a good time.
