What kind of speed can I expect from a Tr21 with a 225 Optimax?

    68-69 loaded with 2 big boys is what I get. Yamaha 225 OX66 on a 02 TR21 turning a 25 Tempest+ prop.

    I've seen 74 in a loaded Tr21 with a Johnson 225HO, but that motor is a screamer.

71 MPH if the air temp and water condition are right, with me + full tackle 1/2 tank of gas. 2 people tournament load 67-68. Hydraulic jackplate sure helps to dial in 1 or 2 MPH while under loaded condition. 170 feet plus or minus 3-4 feet here at Toledo Bend above sea level.

    I've got a 2000 tr21 with a 2000 Yamaha ox66 225. 27m prop

Fully loaded, full tank of gas, 2 big guys I can do 70. 3 big guys I can do 68.

2 big guys half tank of gas without the entire tackle shop? Like 72ish.

1 guy half tank of gas or less not much tackle I'll hit 75.

Would the numbers be very similar for a TX21 (bass/bay version)?

The question is about a MERCURY OPTIMAX 225HP........Not a Yamaha or Johnson.

Buddy has one with Optimax it's good to 66 with 2 12' talons that's it, could be a mph better with his gear in the rear vs front
