I have a 2007 TR 21HP that has touch pads on the console. I've had to replace 4 of these the last 3 years. Can the touch pads controls be replaced with conventional panels with knobs?

Linky no worky.... Sorry, can't answer the question.
They can be changed out to the switches. Send me an email at michael@bunchmarine.com with your serial # and I can get you a parts list together.
I will get that info tomorrow.
Thanks!
Are the touch panel dashes on the newer Triton boats more reliable than the older models?
Hank
I've seen a lot of complaints about the Bass Cat touch panel also, maybe a touch panel isn't a good idea on a bass boat?
Mine came with touch pad, to be honest I would have rather had switches, I guess I am old school.

Mine came with touch pad too. So far I have not had any problems with them but if they go bad, I will replace them with the switches, assuming they would be plug and play.???
Touch pads are great until they break, being electronic they will evetually break :) I prefer switches because if one goes bad you can still make something work on the water that day to survive with and get yoursself a new switch easily as needed.
After reading these posts it appears I made the right decision when I ordered my 2011 21XS Elite but deleted the touch panel dash. I know several people who had problems with the Ranger touch panels.
@ Bunch Boats
Can you do this on a 2002 TR 21 (Bass Master Classic Edition) as well?
Thanks,
Duane

The touch pads are different on the newer boats. Maybe they will hold up, although I had no problem with those on my 2004 model
Yes you can. It's expensive to do it but its well worth it. The switches very rarely go bad and after 3 panels you the $10 switch is well worth it. They are plug and play and look just as good as the push buttons.

The new style push buttons are problematic also?
Not yet but they are electronic and won't last forever. Given that there are some early models having no problems at all but it will happen.
Where can I get a new touch pad for my 08 20x? The main power side locked up today.
Who can make me a board with knobs ? HELP PLEASE ! Give me a phone number so I can get one
pm sent vanellies
Looks like its my time to replace the touch pads. How much does the conversion cost to switch over to the knobs?
