What causes a hub to sling grease?

Last fall after a catastrophic brake failure, had both sides of the rear axle replaced. Brakes, calipers, hubs, bearings, bearing buddies, everything. One side is slinging grease on the wheel and the other is not. What could be the cause?

    NEVER say "blow a seal!"
