Shopping a pair of new poles for my new ride and trying to justify the blades over the Pro series 2 8 ft. models. I am sure this has been asked before but couldn't find it exactly and perhaps there has been some improvements over time.

biggest difference between the (2) is the soft close system on the blade where the spike tucks into a channel in the back of the pole so your spike just isnt kinda hanging out. blade offers the extra choice of blue and red vs just the white and black of the pro II, blades are slightly faster and have a slightly better hold, alot of it due to less spike flex due to the plastic overmold that covers 3/4 of the spike. There are BIG differences in the sportsman II and the blades I would be happy to go over it over the phone with you.Originally Posted by Finlander
