    Z-18 Hole Shot

Looking at buying a new 2018 Z-18 with a 150 4 stroke. Ive heard some folks say the hole shot isnt good with a 150 and recommend a 175? Is this true? Also what about the new 2019's with the 150 PRO XS 4 strokes that have more power?

Always try to max your motor out to your boat if money allows. IMO

I have a 2017 Z18 w/175. This was my first bass boat, though i've owned other styles of boat - i initially thought the boat struggled with the hole shot but looking back at it i think it was me being new to learning how to take off in this type of rig.

The 175 has plenty of power, i'm not much of a speed demon but can cruise regularly in the low 60s.

Every one I have been in had decent holeshot. Only been in 150s, but not the 4 stroke

175 holeshot is amazing. Buddy has a 150 on his and I would say it's average to the rest of the pack.
