Sounds like a case of crosstalk. Where are they located on boat? If you can share the sonar from one that can eliminate it. If one is at bow and other at console, turn sonar off on one not being used.

I agree with the cross talk, how do you turn the sonar off and leave the unit on. When i turned the 1199 off it stopped the interferance. I didn't have the interferance until i networked the two. thanks for help. Cub48

Sonar OFF is a setting in the Setup menu and when you quickly push the power button.
The unit becomes Chart Plotter when you do that.

Do you have INTERLINK or Ethernet?

The black box I mentioned in the PM is a three port INTERLINK. You have an Ethernet Switch with 5 ports.

Soooooo, you have three ways to prevent cross-talk when at the bow:

    1. Turn the console unit OFF and you will share nothing.
    2. Turn SONAR OFF in the Setup Menu or the quick menu with the power button. The console unit will become a Chart Plotter, and you will share GPS.
    3. Set the console unit to get sonar data from the bow unit so both show the same thing at the same time (bow stuff)--- done in the Network menu.

Thank You so much for explaining this to me . All these years I have been running 2 transducers at the same time I just turn my units on and left them on . I found the sonar turn off on my 1197 power button . And I see now you would have to select the transducer for the front unit in the Network menu . Wow i feel dumb dumb . Thanks again Wayne !!!
