Have had a ton of crap in my eyes over the years. Even had some metal rust in my eye, they then have to drill the rust out. I am always amazed at how fast your eyes heal. Get well soon.

Had a similar injury years ago while rabbit hunting, scratched my cornea by a branch walking through a thicket. Had to wear an eye patch for a couple days with some medicine in it, healed fast. Glad yours wasn't any worse than it was.

Spent a day running the chainsaw this Spring. No problems. Throwing the branches and stuff into the truck, caught a bit of dirt in my eye...still wearing safety glasses. Didn't feel good, couldn't wash it out, so went to my Eye Dr. He looked and looked and didn't find anything. I told him to look again, and he finally found the offending speck of dirt, gave me a numbing eye drop, and next day I was good to go. He said I'd still hurt, but didn't. The eyes heal fast, because of very high blood flow to the head & eyes. That also means you'll bleed like a sieve, so there's that...

Ouch - about 10 years ago we had an employee that was helping on a demo job. We 100% stress safety and wearing all PPE. Well for whatever reason this worker had his safety glasses off while pulling up carpet. One big yank and the tack strip come straight into his eye. Ruptured it and he lost it. The remainder of the project safety glasses weren't an issue...

Glad you are going to be ok!!
