Do I need MEGA unit to see MEGA source quality?

Do I need to have a MEGA unit to see the MEGA source if the source is shared through the network? I guess I know I can see it, but is the quality reduced looking at a MEGA source that is hooked to a MEGA unit through a non-MEGA unit?

    Hope that isn't confusing.

    Thanks,

    Robert

The quality is the same if the displays are the same.

Hmm im curious about this as well as I just recently switched to humminbird. My current configuration is Helix 12 MEGA Di at the bow with the TM Mega Di ducer on the trolling motor. I have a Helix 12 MEGA Si at the console with a thru hull ducer and MEGA Si ducer connected through a Y cable. If I purchased a "Helix 12 Sonar GPS" to dual mount the console, will it be able to display the chirp, MEGA Si and Di shared from the Helix 12 MEGA unit or would I need another CHIRP MEGA unit?

If you're referring to the Helix 12 CHIRP GPS G2N model, then yes it can share all from the MEGA unit.

Cool, so I take it the key words there are "G2N Model". Thanks!
