    Engine swap

Guys I have a 2004 50 hp 2 stroke. I'm thinks about buying a 2008 60 hp 4 stroke that a guy on our lake bought a bigger engine for his pontoon. No controls come with the 4 stroke. What will I have to do and buy to get this to work on my pontoon.(both Mercurys) Thanks as always for your help.

Your 2 stroke will probably be faster on the pontoon. We had a 60 4 stroke on ours and it was horrible, we tried all different props and motor heights and nothing helped.

You won’t really need anything to convert to the 08 60. They both use the same harness/cannon plug, T&S Cables same
