Powell Endurance Be Max 3D May Flippin stick with flouro

    He guys,

i am in the market for a dedicated flipping stick. I throw all Falcon Caras but I haven’t found one that fits my needs for a flipping and pitching rod with 20# Gamma. I like a longer rod but not an 8 footer. Are they as sensitive as my Caras? I just need a rod to load up. I like the 775 and 795 models. Any help would be great.

    Thanks

I own both of these older 3D models. the 775 is faster then the 795. I'd call the 775 a slow xfast where as the 795 is on the slow side of fast. I mention because this makes a big difference to some. Both are about 5oz rods and well balanced with a reel.

As to sensitivity, the are good. Not as good as my Kistler zbone or Gloomis NRX but they are in my boat and I fish them.

I've used the 775 in a couple different models for a couple years. It is my dedicated flipping stick. Have not checked out the new Endurance and still using the 3D version. I like it, well balanced. Have tried the 795 and I give a slight edge to the 775 for flipping. The 795 just seems a little lengthy to me, but I plan on buying one for throwing A-rigs. It's sort of a "moderate" taper blank. Check around for FishRanger, he's on Facebook. He had some 3Ds left for $100 plus $25 for shipping.

My rigs are in my boat ready to go to FLA in the Nov. the 775 has a 1oz weight on it. The 795 I will use for 5 inch paddletail swim baits. the slower action makes it perfect.
