Simplicity, Great vac made in KY. Had ours for years now and still going strong. Pricey unit but never a problem with it.
Your best bet is to go into a store that sells many different brands. Throw some kitty litter next to the baseboard and see which one will pick it up. Thats why we have the Simplicity, it was the only one that would do it quickly.

Dyson. Great customer service too. We had the brush motor go out in our upright Dyson and within 2 days we had a new one at the door.

Been happy with our Dyson. Just had to replace a couple of parts on it, and was surprised that it wasn't too difficult to work on. I have heard a lot of good stuff about the sharks.

The high price of a Rainbow is directly related to how they pay people to sell them. You got people getting commission, then people getting commission on the commission. It's almost like a ponzi scheme except there is a real product being sold. As for quality they are excellent but way overpriced.

Any motor in head bag vacuum. The key to power is motor in head. Heavy yes. More powerful yes.

say what you want. My family has been using them since the 60s. Hypoallergenic, attachments for everything. I just replaced the 80s model I inherited from my grandmother only because my wife wanted a newer model. It still works great. NNothing cleans better and I’ll put one up against anything on the market.

Almost 50 years ago, I went to a Rainbow 'job interview'. 30 some kids, weird religious-fervor type sales job done on us. I escaped.

I spend big bucks trying to get my home's humidity DOWN... Just sayin'.

Love our Dysons. Old Animal in the basement. Newish rollerball upstairs. Cordless V8 for when I can't yank the 'heavy' one around. I love the engineering that was put into these vacs, and I like to support people who advance the state of the art. But, yeah, they are expensive.
