What to throw, when the shad/bait are small?

Throw a Mann’s Little George, always works on schooling fish and I pretty much keep one tied on through first of year.

Which size?

3" Megabass Hazedong Shad on a small jig head.

Have some of these and can't seem to throw something that has dong in it. haha. Nice baits. If clear enough a fluke fished fast might work. Sometimes this time of year when there's so much bait around it is tough to get a bite.

fluke also crossed my mind.....when I was back on land!!! lol i think that couldve done something too!

Blade bait or a small spoon with a buck tail like a Kastmaster or Little Mickey.

These were eating small shad. Caught these on spook jr. Huge schools. Smallest striper was 3.35 and most 4 plus and a few just under 5lbs. So much fun.

White marabou jig.

At Lake Murray one time fish eat little shad everywhere. Couldn't catch them on anything.father and small son pulled up in a pontoon boat and started catching them every cast.Watching in awe, asked what they were using.A white 1/16 white marabou jig.Tried traps,spoons,inline spinner and little George nothing.I got a good lesson the day on matching the hatch.Always have marabou jigs in boat now.
