1998 astro dc 1800 water pressure /temp gauge

hey guys i recently purchased a 1998 astro dc 1800 with a 175 hp efi mercury,and i noticed there is no water pressure or temp gauge on the dash,can someone tell me is this the way they were built or do i need to try to install a pressure gauge to see what water pressure i have?

They didn't come with a wp or temp gauge. They (well, mine anyway) just relied on the warning buzzer and amber light on the switch panel. I'd definitely recommend getting an aftermarket water pressure gauge/kit. Very easy to install and a good tool for setup as well as early detection of an overheat situation.
