Question Minn Kota MK460PC with bad temp sensor on Charger #4

Spoke with the rep at Minn Kota and she said the units are sealed but gave me the number for a replacement cable. So, with that said, how do I change a cable on a sealed unit ? I try youtubing with no success. I am electrical friendly but just want to make sure I'm not damaging anything by replacing the cable.

Any advice or am I overthinking this ?

    Thanks, Mike

My guess is you cut the old cable behind the temp sensor and splice the new one in. But check for instructions in the package.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.

That seems logical. I can only hope there will be instructions ...

    Probably some dumb questions but:
MK tole you to repair a sealed unit yourself?
How did you know it was a bad temp sensor?
    Is it out of warranty?

Reason I ask is I have the same charger.
