    wont shut off

    got a 999 si hd about 2 years old wont shut down have to take the power plug out. Then when you put back in turns on automatically. Just did down load on it to see if that would help
    the first one that i have done didn't help

    Check to see if the front cover has been misaligned causing the button to stick.

    looks good push in button feels like the rest of them firm

    Must not be rebounding fully after being pushed. That is where the misalignment can be an issue.

    You might be able to pop the front bezel off using a dime - there are slots along top and bottom edges - and you must make positive you re-seat the card door seal exactly as it was (small ridge into main case) when reattaching the bezel.

    Be very observant of the parts alignment and don't blame me if anything goes awry - I've known how to do this for about a decade and doesn't apply to Helix or Onix/Solix only the number series.

    If the face plate doesn't do it - the internals may be misaligned or there are deeper problems, in which case you might be best off to have HB service the unit (unless you have electronics experience and take matters into your own hands).

    BE ADVISED, there have been cases where HB has replaced those with a Helix model due to manufacturing age - so if the fee is high and you get a newer machine, I don't consider that a bad thing but it's not a guarantee.
