    SOME TIPS OR IDEAS 9/2018

Used peanut butter jars are excellent bass boat storage...they come in 3-4 sizes too...

A long bright boat rope will save you many times if fishing solo...

That troll silencer round thing works...

A TuNA stick is 10x cheaper than a power pole...

Use 2 e ties to help hold trailer license plate...

Super glue all knots the night before you fish (1/4 drop each is enough)...

Keep 2 microfiber towels in your boat...

A hand branch pruner will save you at times when hung up in a tree...especially if windy...

Turtle Wax makes a Wax and Dry that does a great job...

Pros say use WINDEX Multisurface with VINEGAR on all boat screens...

Simple Green is a lot cheaper than those $19 boat wipe solutions and does as well...

Check all boat screws/bolts once a year...they do loosen...make screws snug but do not over tighten...

Trailer tires should be within 2psi of max like 48/50psi for most bass boat trailers...it matters.

A can of SEA FOAM 2x a year will do wonders for your truck and boat...do before expected long drive or runs...

Using frozen water in used soft drink bottles as ice saves $$ and time in the morning dark...can be re-used too...

Putting entry in an envelope (night before) with name/event/date and ph# saves time at the launch when competing...

Reel Magic does help casting line if applied the day before...re-spool all line 2-3x a year of course.

Polarized shades and the new lighter small life vests are really nice IMHO...

Pros apply sunblock before getting to the launch...and bare feet are very risky for many reasons...

Ever see people in the hot desert nations or cowboys on TV in short sleeves...so why do guys fish in them?

Freeze your preferred drink in a large glass w/top that fits your boat holder...put in holder when you leave the house.

If possible fill gas tanks on way home for next trip...another way to sleep later/save time in the morning darkness.

Filling your tank when you leave the lake keeps condensation from forming in the tank and will keep water out.

Filling the tank after fishing is not good if your fuel contains ethanol. My mechanic recommends trying to burn as much fuel as possible out of the tank and use dry gas. Month old ethanol is not good gas! Check with your favorite marine mechanic

    Stick-IT
    Stake Out Pole
    Shallow Water Anchor
    Cajun Anchor

Goes by many names, similar concept. Rod pushed into the ground tied to the boat.
Some are short but heavy solid metal with an eye to tie the line to. You can throw them like a spear to sink into the bottom. (Cajun Anchor)
Others are long 8-12ft solid 3/4 fiberglass rods with a metal point on one end and T handle on top. Push it into the ground and tie off. Holds the boat in place and is much quieter and more precise than dropping an anchor.

Many DIY methods also but they are cheap enough now there is no reason to DIY.
