I mounted mine on the flat area next to my driver side wind screen. Same place my lowrance point one is mounted. Seems to work fine.

Depending on the boat, I usually (If I can) mount it in an area on the front deck that is covered by the mount arm when the trolling motor is stowed. Power is usually picked up from the front bow panel.

LOL. Thanks everyone. You pretty much covered the whole boat. I guess it’s a preference thing .

The one tip that I picked up fron uTube was to use a standard handheld compass to make certain you have no magnetic interference in the chosen location before drilling. Outside of that I think anything goes as long as the Bluetooth signal can reach the motor.

Mine is mounted on the back deck passenger side. I had the least magnetic interference there.

How did you know you had magnetic interference and where was it that caused you a problem? Thanks.

I put mine on the rear end where an old gps puck was.
Bluetooth works great, no emf interference from trolling motor
