If the places are really good we make reservations. I refuse to wait. There are plenty of good places around here to eat. Im living proof of that. We eat out at least 3 or 4 times a week and fast food is not eating out. We take that home and eat it.

I don't wait and I entertain a lot. I was in sales and marketing for 20 years. Always had reservations and it they could not honor the reservation, (which was rare), we moved on to another that offered better service. I have relatives that own resturants and they are always on time as well.

Some top places don't do reservations, and of you don't want to wait they are no concerned......because there is always a line of people waiting.....and that will never change. Many delis in NYC, you don't want to wait no problem....know a steak house one hour min. Sat 2.....and it is always that way. And yes it's that good.

If I were on the east coast right now and lost my home to a hurricane or flood water,I could wait as long as needed. But at a restaurant around here only about 20 minutes.

I thought I was going to bust at 7...12 is nuts! The place we go is in Biloxi, MS at Boomtown casino. It’s only on Thursdays and Sunday and is 28.00 all you can eat. I get a 20% Military discount too. I think they also give 20% to EMTs and LEOs.

30-45 minutes at a good local restaurant, no problem. I went to Outback on a Friday one time since we had a gift card and the wait was 45 minutes.....Nope, came back on a weekday and was seated immediately.

If you go on a Friday or Saturday go early. Rarely a line before 6 pm, but get there at 7 forget it. Weekdays are my favorite time to eat out, restaurants are less busy and I feel like the service and food is better.

    Food for thought...

We are all just so fortunate to have been born in this country and in the times we live.

I make reservations ahead of time but even then I will have to wait a few minutes but not much longer. A good restaurant will comp you with a drink ,desert or something.

A shoe would taste like prime rib after a long day on the water
    Ranting incoherently
