    Nice bass, but...

As a bonus, a guy from Massachusetts comes to Wisconsin, and thinks he's done something special, while the locals look on with amusement.

It's like Tom Brady completing a pass at Lambeau.

What kind of record did he set...? Not sure you could've counted the high 6s that were caught below Wilson dam this year....prolly more just over 7s that could be counted as well... certainly personal bests... There was a ton of em caught..

21” on that lake isn’t all that special and that fish isn’t overly chubby like usual. They have been basically camped out there for a year plus now trying to catch a big one for this “record”. I have fished that lake many times and the biggest I’ve seen was a 23” my friend caught off a bed in the spring that went 7.5 but she was girthy and full of spawn.

It is a beautiful fish! We all know that that there are “records” for everything. If this is the longest documented smallmouth, good for him...if someone up there wants to it sounds like a record easily broken.
