    Question Replacing 1198 with Helix 12 chirp DI mega - will existing Ethernet cable

    suffice? The 1198 was networked with a Helix 10SI, will I need any additional cable than the adapter cable for the Helix 12?

    Did you have a shoot thru transducer that was connected to the 1198?

    Yes but the shoot-thru is connected to the Helix 10 SI now.

    In that case, all you need for cables is the network adaptor cable for the 12.

    Looks like you are putting the 12 at the bow, so make sure to trade the transdcuer for the trolling motor version.

    No, I called Humminbird and they said I can send the transom mount to them and get a refund on the puck transducer.

    All I will end up paying is shipping charges.
