    HELP!! 2016 Phoenix 819 200sho won’t plane out 5200 rpms WOT and 60 mph

bought a used boat it was 3 hours away and only a small lake to start it up in. After getting home and driving the boat I almost couldnt get it to plane out 8-10 sec or more hole shot with a 24p vmax prop and ptp was way to low so I raised it all the way to about 2 inches. And it’s a bit better but still can’t reach 58-6000 rpms only 5200 and with 2 people and full live wells it will NOT get on plane had to drain 1 live well and have my passenger stand on the deck. I’ve tried a 21p prop tech or something like that and a 23p the 23 is lower rpms and lower top end and the 21 is max rpms and way slower 53-55 mph

boat has (33) hours on it and was a old mans crappie boat

Does it have a hotfoot? If so check to made sure it's adjusted so you are getting full pull on the throttle cable. Other than that I would check all the plugs, make sure the plug wires are securely attached before I go too drastic with anything.

On a 200 you should be running probably a 25p prop. But of course that depends on the prop too.

How can you check the hot foot? I adjusted it a soon as I bought it and it’s been to the shop the tech was supposed to check hotfoot and spark plugs but he didn’t seem to bright didn’t know what ptp meant and wouldn’t let me ask him about anything he already knew everything

Have someone else push the hotfoot it all the way to the stop while you watch at he engine to make sure throttle is opening all the way. There is a bolt that the hotfoot stops against. If it's not adjusted out enough you won't get full pull on the cable.

I looses the bolt all the way one day to see if that helped and it didn’t is that the same?

Sounds like a cylinder not firng, or injector issue.

Pull and inspect the plugs. The ugliest one will show you where the issue will probably be.

I’m gonna drive a couple hours away and take it to a Phoenix dealer and have them look at it and hope it’s warranty work

What prop ?? If it's a vented prop, it sounds like it's TOO vented and needs smaller plugs.

Seems my 819 had a 24 Fury with no plugs and jumped out just fine.

See post 4. You adjusted soon as you bought it. Meaning you moved your hotfoot out of adjustment. I’d say you need to set it back where it was and check it again before trying anything

I agree. This is exactly where I would start. It’s something to do with the hot foot.
