USA Ultrex Losing Power... Any suggestions???

Hi all, I've got an Ultrex 36 volt on my 521. I had a warranty issue with my pedal sensor a couple months ago and since replacement, I've noticed a decrease in power. With the setting on 10, I only get around 2 mph. Before I was getting almost 6 mph. I'm taking it to the MK service center tomorrow but thought I'd take a moment to ask for any ideas and/or advice as to what may have been happening with anyone's TM. Thanks in advance, Rick

Maybe the weight of the boat changed (possible water in hull???). Check the amp draw when on wide open. If the amp draw is in line with a 112 (apx 52amps), the thrust is in specs.

When you are doing the draw test, check the voltage at the bow. You should almost 38V and maybe as much as a little over 39V at the leads that go to the TM.

Are sure on the previous speed? On my 521 with a 112 Fortrex I can get about 2.4 mph to 2.6 mph on full power. 6 mph seems like a lot for an electric trolling motor.

My heavy Ranger does 2.8 mph with a 36 volt Ultrex. 6 seems high.

Reply to all who gave advice and/or suggestions. And, apology for over estimating my TM speed on high... I wound up taking it in to the MK service center at BPS in Rossford, OH. The fine techs there found moisture had gotten into the lower unit. Minn Kota saw fit to replace the lower unit for me. All is well.
