    Transom saver

I’m needing a new one. I’ve bought the heavy duty ones and they keep cracking right under the head of the saver. Thinking about getting one with a shock absorbing system. What would you reccomend for a 150hp 4stroke?
motor mate does not work for this motor btw

I picked one up from Academy. The HD one that they carry and it has the spring loaded head.

I use it on my 250 ProXS

I have one with the spring. I bought it new in 1992, When i sold that boat, i took the one off the new boat and swapped it out. I'm still running the same transom saver in 2018--- Zero problems

I made my own Lock-n-haul style for less than $15 that works great - keeps motor from flopping side to side, no marring of lower unit, quick and easy to install/remove & stow.

Bass Cat sells a version of the Transom Saver that contacts the midsection mount bolts and trailer keel roller that looks pretty sweet...no marring of the lower unit, and no motor flopping, but it's spendy!

What year is your Pro XS 4S?? I was under the assumption those didn't work with the new 4S motors?

Since there are breaking I'd say you snagging it on the ground below the far of the trailer, I trim the bottom smaller than the top to prevent this, also I really like how the extreme max transom saved from Amazon works, it's heavy and stoudt, I also squeeze the motor end together some so the motor can not twist. (Bump it on a curb is how I squeezed it together)

I am on my second Marpac. The only reason I am on my second is the first one snapped when I got rear ended.

X2 on the MyWedge. Works wonderfully on my rig, much prefer it to the standard style I had on my previous boats.
