    The service manual says quicksilver,but I’m going mercury hi performance that’s the brand the old owner used

    Quicksilver and Mercury are the same item. Mercury brand is sold at Mercury dealers and service centers, Quicksilver is the same product labeled for sale at other retailers like Walmart, Etc.
