I will be ordering a Ranger 518 L in December to take advantage of the incentives in January, I have also been watching for a 518 which is a few years old and the price difference is not that significant. I am not ordering a lot of options and am doing the electronics delete and installing them myself. Hope this is some help to guide you along but for me there is not enough of a price difference to purchase pre owned.
I bought mine off Craigslist and there were lots of bass boats listed in Louisiana. I drove to Dallas to get mine, as there were tons of boats compared to Arizona....
Too bad, I'd sell You My 2012 Z-118 and most of the gear (rh reels) and all the crap for $25k (cash)...

I would buy new but in Louisiana its 9.5% tax. BUT if I buy a used boat I can get away with cheap taxes on just the trailer.

Off topic but funny too me because i traded in a boat at reynolds and it was bought by someone in...............Louisiana.
I am from Louisiana as well. Looked for 2 years to find a z518 with a 200. Not many dealers near Baton Rouge so unless your lucky, your going to have to travel. Registration from out Of state can be a bear. Understand the rules and docs you will need ahead of time and have them signed when the purchase is made. Lots of savings in terms of tax liabilities provided its used and NOT purchased from a dealer. Good luck

Bass Boat Central Boats for sale is by far the best place to find a new or used Ranger.
There is a site that searches all Craigslists by state. I forget the name though. I used to find lots of boats all over using it.
