Lake erie smallmouth.
Got sunday, monday, and tuesday off work next week. Thinking of heading to erie to try my luck at somecsmall mouth. Never fished it before, and was thinking ashtabula, or open to suggestions. Going to have wife with me, and she isnt really fond of big water, so would like to stay inside the breakwall if possible. Any tips on where to launch, places to stay, and techniques that will produce?

If you launch out of Gordon Park you can stay inside the breakwall that runs all the way from Gordon Park clear down past the Browns Stadium.
If the smallies don't cooperate, which can very easily be the case this time of year, you can go hit the areas in and around the Great Lakes Science Center and the Rock Hall for some green fish.
Gordon Park is off of I-90 east at Martin Luther King Jr Drive. If it's calm you can run all over the place right in that area.
