    Swapping motors

Just wondering if the wiring harness off a 1988 motor 150 hp would work with a 1996 90hp motor I am thinking about swapping them and was hoping I could just unplug them and just plug them into the other wire harness

Yes, it should work with no modifications, as long as they are both power trim motors. If the old motor is a manual tilt, you may have to add the power trim feature, if the controls don't have it.
