Let me know what you think of that model, what reel are you putting on it?

I put a Calcutta Conquest on mine (7'4" MH model) and it fits that rod perfect.

How would that work for chatterbaits?

We definitely have some guys throwing open water chatterbaits on it and very happy with it. It's not going to do well if you are ripping it out of grass. Need something a little stiffer like an IKOS Promise 7 or 73.

Yep the new Lunkerstick is a great rod---Not Heavy and feels great---they make one in 6'8" that would be great for what you want. I have the 7'3" MH and i will prob be getting the 6-8 too

I went to the tackle shop today to look at the
St-Croix Legend Tournament Glass 6'10" in medium and in medium heavy. I decided after speaking to the owner who throws both rod weights that I will be buying the Medium light. His primary square bill is the KVD 1.5 and both rods handle that bait great. The M/H is a bit more accurate . The deciding factor for me was that he asked me if I would throw other baits on the rod and I said possibly traps. He said go with the Medium heavy.

I was thinking about ordering the 7’4” MH for traps since we have milfoil here.

Yep, That's what I was going to point out. You need to decide if you want a solid (pure) Glass rod or a composite rod.

Caught about 10 today using this rod, 3/8 jackhammer, and 30 pound braid. The rod performed flawlessly!
