Ultrex power intermittently will not turn off

Sometimes when I hit the power switch on the pedal the power stays on. If I toggle it back and forth a few times it will go off. Today I noticed if I I grab the switch and gently Rock it left or right (while the switch is in the "off" position) per will flow to the unit. Is this a quick fix or adjustment I can make myself or will it have to go to service (in the off season).

My first thought is a bad switch.

^ agree, but check the connections first. Easy enough to do.

This happened to mine too. After a bit the power stayed on even if the switch was off. Then it started shutting off while running. Took it in and they replaced the switch and checked the motherboard for damage. The tech said that if the master switch in the boat doesn’t turn off the power to the trolling motor that a person should unplug it when not in use.

I believe there was a report of a tie wrap in the wrong place under the foot pedal that has been causing this issue. I would call the nearest ASC and see what they say. Don't think it is a major issue and easily fixed.

There was an issue concerning a tie wrap but I don't think it was for this problem.

I'll see if I can take a closer look at it tomorrow to see if the switch is easily removed for inspection

If under warranty, take it to an ASC. Do not try to fix it yourself.
