I like this but I'm guessing this doesn't keep you tight up against the dock?

I use the Basspro 15' dock lines. They stay very limber and easy to use. I installed 2 ss rails on either side of the boat by the consoles. It allows me to put the rope thru the front cleat and then tie off on the rail and then the dock cleat is easy to use right next to my steering wheel.

I specifically ordered my Lynx with a retractable cleat right near the shifter. Allows me to easily grab the dock and tie right there from the seat. Keep a short piece of rope in a compartment to tie off the rear. Makes it easy.

I use a bungee rope but instead of loops, it has large metal clips. Clip one to the boat cleat...give the bungee a couple of wraps around the dock cleat and then clip the other clip to the other clip...done.
    Don't worry Ma'am....
