    Helix 7 transducer

I just purchased a new Helix7 for front of boat. My motorguide has built in td in motor with Lowerance wiring.
Should I buy the conversion wire Lowerance to Humminbird and us the transducer on motor or install the Humminbird TD on motor. Which TD would work better?

Yes you can use the Motor Guide internal transducer with that model. 8M4001962 is the adapter
It does 83/200 kHz just like the Humminbird transducer.

So are you saying the Motorguide TD is better one to use or are they equally good

Should be the same, but some have better results with the external and less RFI and just the opposite for some. Every installation is different. You have to find out what your setup does.
